Pam Pryor

Pam Pryor is currently a member of the Executive Team at Cornerstone Chapel in Leesburg, VA, and is responsible for the Chapel’s Strategic Communications.  In this role, she is able to utilize her strong background in leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Prior to joining Cornerstone’s staff, she was appointed Acting Assistant Secretary for International Organizations at the U.S. Department of State by President Trump and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.  Under her purview were all the multilateral organizations including six ambassadors, the United Nations, and the World Health Organization. 

Before serving in that role, Ms. Pryor was the Senior Bureau Official in the Under Secretariat for Civilian Security, Democracy, and Human rights.  There, she had oversight of anti-trafficking, international religious freedom, and global women’s issues, as well as six other bureaus, from immigration to international narcotics.  She previously served as a Senior Advisor for Global Justice in the Office of International Religious Freedom, working with a broad coalition of religious communities to identify threats to people of faith around the globe and to protect religious minorities from persecution, repression, and discrimination.  In all of these positions, Ms. Pryor guided U.S. multilateral diplomacy to advance U.S. national security, promote American values worldwide, and ensure effective use of U.S. taxpayer resources.

Ms. Pryor’s distinguished career before joining the Department of State included a key role on the presidential campaign of Donald J. Trump leading his faith outreach initiative, building coalitions and leading outreach initiatives.  She brought with her in her time at the State Department deep insights on legislative matters, having served as Press Secretary and Chief of Staff for Representative J.C. Watts of Oklahoma and as Executive Director of the House Republican Conference.  She also served as an advisor to former Alaska Governor and vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

As a Gallup-certified StrengthsFinder coach, Pam loves to talk about people’s strengths. She continues to lead Bible study groups on the Hill and for Administration appointees.  Ms. Pryor has been a college professor, TV news anchor, and radio talk show host.  She attended Southern Nazarene University and obtained both a Bachelor's and Master’s degree in Communication and Education.  She lives in Arlington, VA, and loves to cook, entertain, and truly believes that laughter is the best medicine!
