Jeremy Herrera
Jeremy Herrera is a highly accomplished law enforcement and national security professional with an established record of success promoting U.S. interests and mitigating threats in a variety of hostile and challenging environments worldwide. He’s a proven leader entrusted with complex operations and high-profile positions demanding integrity, diplomacy, strategic thinking, technical expertise, innovation, collaboration, and adaptability.
As an special agent with the Diplomatic Security Service, Jeremy has held the distinction of serving as the Agent-in-Charge (AIC)–Dignitary Protection Division;
Special Agent-in-Charge (SAC) (Acting) for the former Secretary of State’s protective detail; Deputy Regional Security Coordination Officer (DRSCO) – Syria Transition Assistance Response Team – Forward (START-FWD); Assistant Regional Security Officer at the US Embassy in Honduras; and as a Special Agent with the Washington Field Office conducting passport and visa fraud criminal investigations.
In addition to Jeremy’s time at the Department of State, Jeremy honorably served with the US Army. Jeremy was a Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape (SERE) Instructor and also served as the Tactical Operations Officer/Pilot with the Army’s, 2nd Squadron, 6th Cavalry, 11th Attack Helicopter Regiment. He also served as a Pilot-in-Command in an Attack/Reconnaissance Helicopter Squadron responsible for the tactical employment of the AH64D Apache Longbow executing over 250 combat missions in Operation Iraqi Freedom I and Operation Enduring Freedom VI. Prior to flying attack helicopters for the Army, Jeremy also served with the elite 75th Ranger Regiment as a fire team leader.
Jeremy received his Master of Science Degree in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance from Western Governors University. He also holds a Master of Professional Studies from The George Washington University in Security and Safety Leadership-Strategic Cyber Security Law Enforcement. Jeremy received his Bachelor of Science, Summa Cum Laude from Troy University in Psychology.
