Heather Olowski
Heather Olowski is an attorney, specializing in civil rights and employment law, practicing since 2010. Heather is the Chief Counsel for the Office of Civil Rights at the Department of State. Heather has dedicated most of her legal career to public service, combatting discriminatory practices and other unlawful behaviors and misconduct that undermine the mission, prohibit excellence, and betray the trust of the American people. Prior to joining State, Heather was in private practice.
Heather was selected for the Federalist Society’s Civil Rights practice group Executive Committee and has served since 2018 (she has been a Federalist Society member since 2007). Heather served on the Maryland Republican Central Committee from 2021-2022. Heather earned her law degree from Georgetown and her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley. Heather is married to her law school sweetheart, Lew (also a BFF fellow), and they have two children, Victoria and Gabriel.
